What is Roast & Toast?
The concept is simple: every great idea benefits from both encouragement and honest feedback.

The “Roast” is the constructive part — thoughtful questions, alternative perspectives, identifying blind spots, and helping presenters think through challenges.

The “Toast” is the celebration part — recognising what’s working well, highlighting strengths, sharing opportunities, and making introductions that could help move ideas forward.

The goal isn’t to tear ideas down. It’s to help people leave with new insights, valuable connections, and practical next steps.

Roast & Toast Format
🚀 4–5 innovators will each have up to 10 minutes to pitch an idea, share a project, or discuss a challenge they’re working through.
💡 Before presenting, each innovator lets the audience know what type of feedback they’re seeking.
👥 After each presentation, the audience provides supportive, constructive feedback and may offer introductions, resources, or connections.

Whether you’re pitching a startup, validating an idea, solving a problem, exploring a new venture, or simply keen to learn from others, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to help.

There’s no sponsor covering food or drinks for this event, so it’s BYO — feel free to bring along whatever you’d like to eat or drink while you enjoy the evening.
