DESCRIPTION:This talk aims to be relevant and actionable for both software engineers and leaders working with technical teams\, exploring the intersection of engineering practice and technical leadership. \nSome of the topics include managing technical teams as an individual contributor while working reduced hours\, encouraging healthy personal responsibility\, and focusing on outputs over process. \nChristian will share thoughts on shaping work without managing people\, pragmatic programming\, lessons from Shape Up\, and how we might reconsider the way we build software\, especially when its lifespan is shorter than we like to admit. \nAbout Christian:\nChristian is a staff software engineer with a strong focus on mentoring\, user and developer experience\, and delivering real business value.
